Students' Council Election and Investiture Ceremony 2026-27
Students' Council Election was conducted on 25th April,26 in M.E.S. Public School.
The annual Students’ Council Election witnessed great enthusiasm and active participation from students across std 5th to 10th .
The Election process started with Nomination and Campaigning of candidates.
The School Council Elections for this academic year were conducted successfully using a mobile polling application, marking a significant step towards integrating technology into the democratic processes of the school.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The newly elected students' council - Head Boy, Head Girl, Asst. Head Girl, Asst. Head Boy, House Captains ,Sports Captain and prefects were conferred with badges and sashes by our respected Principal and teachers at the Investiture Ceremony, organised on 17th June, 2026. An oath was taken by the elected school council members as a promise to deliver their duties sincerely.
The event marked the delegation of responsibilities to the newly elected student council.
The Principal congratulated and guided the newly elected leaders, inspiring them to perform their duties responsibly.
The Students’ Council Election was not only a celebration of student leadership but also a hands-on experience of the democratic process. It gave students a deeper understanding of electoral politics, as discussed in their Civics textbook, and reinforced the importance of participation, representation, and accountability in a democracy.
World Yoga Day Celebration.
M.E.S. Public School, Kalamboli celebrated International Yoga Day on 22nd June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students of Nursery to Grade 9.
The program began with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of yoga in daily life. Students performed simple Yoga Asanas, Surya namskar and Pranayama under the guidance of their teachers. The session focused on promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and healthy lifestyle habits among students.
The celebration concluded with a message encouraging everyone to practice yoga regularly for a healthy body, peaceful mind, and positive outlook on life.

विषय - आषाढी वारी व वृक्षरोपण उपक्रम उत्साहात साजरा
दिनांक २३ जुलै २०१६ रोजी आमच्या शाळेत आषाढी वारी व वृक्षारोपण हा संयुक्त उपक्रम उत्साहात साजरा करण्यात आला. कार्यक्रमाच्या सुरुवातीला संत ज्ञानेश्वर यांच्या प्रतिमेचे , ज्ञानेश्वरीचे व पालखीचे पूजन माननीय प्राचार्या , पालक -शिक्षक संघाचे सदस्य व शिक्षक वृंद यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले .विठ्ठलाची आरती घेण्यात आली. इयत्ता पाचवीच्या विद्याथ्यांनी वारकऱ्यांचा व संतांचा पारंपारिक वेश परिधान करून टाळ मृदंगाच्या गजरात दिंडी काढली. अभंग, भजन आणि हरिनामाच्या गजराने परिसर भक्तिमय झाला .या आषाढी वारीतून संतांची आठशे वर्षाची परंपरा जपण्याची विदयार्थ्यांना संधी मिळाली. या आषाढी वारीतून विद्यार्थांमध्ये संतांबद्दलचा आदर त्यांचे कार्य याची जाणीव झाली . भक्तीभाव, शिस्त, समता, सहकार्य, सेवाभाव ,एकता या मूल्यांची रूजवणूक झाली .संतांच्या विचारांचे महत्व विद्यार्थ्यांना समजले .या उपक्रमानून भारतीय संस्कृती व परंपरा जपण्याचा वारसा भावी पिढीला मिळाला. सर्व विदयार्थ्यांना प्रसाद वाटण्यात आला. वृक्षरोपण या उपक्रमाचा उद्देश पर्यावरणाबाबत जनजागृती करणे तसेच शाळेचा परिसर अधिक हिरवागार, निरोगी आणि पर्यावरणपूरक बनविण्यासाठी समाजाच्या सहभागाला प्रोत्साहन देणे हा होता.
या उपक्रमादरम्यान शाळेच्या परिसरात स्थानिक (देशी) वृक्षप्रजातींची लागवड करण्यात आली. स्थानिक वृक्षप्रजाती या परिसरातील हवामान व मातीशी नैसर्गिकरीत्या जुळवून घेतलेल्या असल्यामुळे त्यांना कमी पाणी व कमी देखभालीची आवश्यकता असते. तसेच या वनस्पती स्थानिक पक्षी, फुलपाखरे आणि इतर जीवसृष्टीला आश्रय व अन्न उपलब्ध करून देतात आणि परिसरातील जैवविविधतेचे संवर्धन करण्यास महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान देतात. स्थानिक वृक्षांची लागवड पर्यावरणाचा समतोल राखण्यास आणि शाश्वत विकासाला चालना देण्यास उपयुक्त ठरते.
या उपक्रमात पालकांचा उत्स्फूर्त सहभाग लाभल्याने कार्यक्रम अधिक अर्थपूर्ण ठरला आणि निसर्गसंवर्धन ही सर्वांची सामूहिक जबाबदारी आहे, हा संदेश प्रभावीपणे पोहोचला. या उपक्रमामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये पर्यावरण संवर्धनाची जाणीव निर्माण झाली तसेच वृक्षांचे संरक्षण व संगोपन करण्याची प्रेरणा मिळाली. हिरवागार आणि शाश्वत भविष्य घडविण्याच्या दिशेने हा उपक्रम निश्चितच प्रेरणादायी ठरला.

CYBER SECURITY AWARENESS
A workshop on Cyber Security was conducted for the students of std VIII and IX, on 27th July, 2026. It aimed to educate students about online safety and prevention of cybercrimes.
The session was led by Mr. Swapnil Juikar, the API, and Mr. Kailesh Mhatre, the head constable from Kalamboli Police Station. Students were made aware of the importance of online safety, recognising and reporting suspicious online behaviour, protecting personal data and preventing cyberbullying.
It was an interactive session wherein students' queries were clarified. Measures for cyber safety were informed,and real-life cases and examples were shared.
Students were also encouraged to promote online safety among peers.

A Study Skills session was conducted for the students of Class VIII on 31st July 2026. The session was facilitated by Ms. Surekha Nande and Mrs. Shubha Kulkarni for both divisions of Class VIII.
During the session, guidance on goal setting, time management, and effective study techniques was provided. Various strategies to improve learning habits, enhance concentration, and manage study time efficiently were explained. The importance of setting achievable goals and maintaining a disciplined study routine was emphasized. The session was conducted in an interactive manner, and valuable study skills were imparted to help students achieve academic success.

A Sexuality Education session was conducted for the students of Class IX on 31st July 2026. The session for boys was conducted by Mr. Kaustubh Joglekar, while the session for girls was conducted by Mrs. Girija S. Likhite.
During the session, information on the physical, emotional, and behavioural changes experienced during adolescence was provided. The boys were also made aware of the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and its importance in ensuring the safety and protection of children. The session was conducted in an informative and age-appropriate manner, and awareness about healthy growth, responsible behaviour, and personal safety was successfully created among the students.

Teachers' Training Program
A teachers' training programme on "Student–Teacher Communication" was conducted on 31st July, 2026, to enhance effective communication skills among teachers. The session was led by Mrs. Girija S. Likhite, Head of Personality Development, Pune.
Valuable insights on building positive relationships with students through empathetic listening, respectful interaction, and encouraging communication was shared by Mrs. Likhite. The importance of understanding students' emotional needs, using positive language, and creating a supportive classroom environment were highlighted. The session included practical examples that helped teachers reflect on their communication styles.
The training was highly informative and inspiring. It equipped teachers with effective strategies to strengthen student engagement and foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Vaccination Drive
A Tetanus and Diphtheria vaccination drive was organized on 1st August and 3rd August 2026 by the Panvel Municipal Corporation for students above 10 years of age
A total of 63 students were vaccinated by the medical team from the Panvel Municipal Corporation .All necessary precautions were followed during the drive.
The drive aimed at protecting students from Tetanus and Diphtheria and ensuring their overall health and safety.
Health Check-up Camp

With the increasing prevalence of health concerns such as anemia, unhealthy eating habits, obesity, and lifestyle-related disorders among young children, it has become essential to promote health awareness and monitor students' well-being from an early age.
At M.E.S. Public School, Kalamboli, we have been consistently encouraging healthy living through various initiatives, including the implementation of a Healthy Tiffin Menu, Sugar Awareness Boards, and regular sessions on healthy eating habits, balanced nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices.
To monitor the effectiveness of these initiatives and assess the overall health of our students, a Health Check-up Camp was organised for the students of Grade V to X by Reliance Foundation Hospital with the support of Bhartiya Vikas Parishad, Panvel.
During the camp, qualified medical professionals conducted Hemoglobin (Hb), Random Blood Sugar (RBS), and Blood Pressure (BP) screenings for all students. Students identified with low hemoglobin levels were provided with medical prescriptions and the required medicines by the attending doctors, along with appropriate guidance for further care.
The health camp proved to be a valuable initiative in promoting preventive healthcare and reinforcing the importance of healthy eating and lifestyle habits among students. The school remains committed to nurturing healthy, active, and informed learners through such meaningful programmes.

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at M.E.S. Public School Kalamboli, on 15th August 2026.
The National Flag was hoisted by the parents of the Class X toppers of the academic year 2025–26. Mst. Yash Holgire, first rank holder of class X , CBSE exams. Flag hoisting was followed by National Anthem, Flag song and State song.
RSS students displayed disciplined march past on inspiring patriotic songs and filled the environment with enthusiasm and patriotism.
The ceremony was followed by Pratima Pujan and a Mass Drill (Kavayat).
The choir group presented melodious patriotic songs, creating an atmosphere filled with pride and love for the nation.
Ms Aradhya Suroshi of Class IX gave a powerful speech on the importance of independence and duties of individuals. The School Magazine of MES Public School, ‘Inspired roots’ was released during the programme. Toppers of class X, and the students who secured ranks in the Maharashtra scholarship exam were then felicitated for their outstanding achievements.
The students born on this auspicious day were given blessings in the form of greetingcards and seed pencils. The programme concluded with complete Vande Mataram.
The celebration was a memorable occasion that inspired students and everyone to value the ideals of freedom, unity, responsibility and patriotism, and to contribute positively towards the progress of our nation.

National Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign
An Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign was organised in the school from 6th to 20th August 2026 under the theme "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life." The primary objective of the campaign was to educate and sensitise students about the harmful physical, mental, and social effects of drug abuse, and to encourage them to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
The representatives of Brahma Kumari, B.K Sulkshana Didi and B.K.Raju sir led the session and were felicitated by the prinicipal with a sapling ,as a token of love,respect and gratitude.The students were addressed by B.K.Sulkshana didi through an enlightening awareness session where she spoke about the destructive consequences of drug addiction on an individual's health, family, and future, while also emphasising the importance of spiritual strength, self-discipline, and positive thinking as effective tools to resist peer pressure and stay away from harmful substances. Her address left a deep impact on the students, many of whom actively participated by asking questions and sharing their views.
A short meditation session was conducted followed by a pledge as a promise to remain drug-free and to spread awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse within their families and communities.
